💭 My Take of the Week

  • Be kind to yourself and others. As cliché as this advice is, I often remind myself of it. Our emotional stability and awareness are the bedrock foundation of our decision-making. Our discernment and judgment are the core superpowers that enable us to make the best possible decisions. It turns out “love and discernment” are more connected than you may realize (more below).

  • I have found that when I come from a place of love and kindness, my stress levels go down and I interpret life through a lens that is far more easy-going and productive. This is especially important when you realize that entrepreneurship is: (a) Quite difficult; (b) Laced with failure; (c) Will lead to inevitable conflict with others…employees, vendors, partners, clients; (d) Takes a lot of time and hard work. This means that patience, endurance, and persistence are key skills you must develop. It turns out that being patient and persistent is a lot easier when you come from a place of love. It also leads to a more fulfilling, joyful, and enjoyable life. Ultimately, by being in this “place” of love, our overall emotional stability improves, our decisions get better, and our ability to operate as a human and an entrepreneur strengthens.
