Following GTM Influencers Could Shrink Your Business…

There is dangerous advice being promoted by "top" GTM influencers. I'm here to save you. "Following the leader" may get you killed.

Control The Buying Room!

20 clients should've happened by now.
But you're still here. Still grinding. Still "building." Still broke. Want to know why?

The Only Fixed Variable in Your GTM Equation!

Agencies grinding on list quality, enrichment accuracy, and Clay automation while ignoring the only metric that actually determines if they'll exist in 18 months. TAM size. You want to know the dirty secret nobody talks about?

Becoming the Kind of Leader Your Business Needs…
New entrepreneurs or "wantrapreneurs" embody these traits:
1. Frantic and distracted
2. Emotionally uncontrolled
3. Rash
The Real Reason Agencies Bleed Clients

Bad-fit clients waste more time than they're worth. That $5K MRR client with a 5,000-account TAM and a weak offer will consume 80% of your team's bandwidth, complain constantly, and churn in 90 days. You'll spend 6 months recovering.

What I Learned When I Stopped Blaming the World
Oftentimes, I’ve believed that what is blocking me is some external force…a competitor, a market, a trend, a bad employee, a difficult client, etc.

In reality, what inevitably turns out to be the “blocker” is my own decisions and state of mind.
Why Selling $149 SaaS Is Harder Than Selling $3K Retainers
"Selling $149 SaaS is harder than selling $3k retainers." Hugo Millington-Drake opened with this and I knew we were about to get brutally honest.
Multi-LLM Workflows That Actually Work…
“We jumped the gun on AI.” I sat down with Soheil Saeidmehr, Head of Service Delivery at ColdIQ, to unpack how they scaled an outbound agency from ~$70k to ~$600k MRR using industry leading content marketing.

💭 My Take of the Week

The Claude Code craze is both an absolute miracle and hype for a reason, and I want to unpack that for you real quick. On one hand, it does miraculous things like:

  • Fully automate workflows

  • De-duplicate and normalize records

  • Help route data where it needs to go

For a GTM person, this seems like magic. There are a couple of problems worth considering, though.

  • Context: A context window in Claude is relatively small. To make GTM-related decisions, especially around revenue, you need context beyond just the last several conversations or campaigns. You need contacts across the life history of your engagement with that prospect. You need to know exactly what stage and status they're in across all different tools. Are they in an active deal cycle? Are they a client? Have they previously been pitched but didn't show up to a meeting? Have they shown up to a meeting, but did they not close? All of these details matter so that when you hit them next with the right message, it is within the context of the overall conversation that we're having with that person.

  • One thing that's important is that Claude is cheap right now. Right now, Claude and all these large language models are subsidizing their user base to hook them and change the behavior of the entire world to use their tools. The reality is that they won't be able to sustain the current computing cost to support this over the long run. That means that, at some point, once you're hooked, once you're deeply embedded in their ecosystem, they're going to raise the prices on you. The question is: Can you handle that?

Despite my concerns, Claude and the related agentic tools coming out are true miracles, and there are many things you can do with them that weren't possible before, but you have to realize they won't solve everything.

You still need a merged, deduplicated central record across all tools, as we offer at RevyOps. You also have to understand that the cheap compute will not last forever.

Do not pigeonhole yourself into a 300,000-line codebase that you have to maintain, where a single bug fix requires $300 to fix it if you can’t afford it.

Be safe out there.
