Ben Reed's Weekly B2B Growth Insights & Highlights | 26th April, 2026

Benjamin Reed's weekly B2B sales, marketing, & revenue insights...in one simple email.

Hey everyone,

This week’s recap saves you time: I’ve distilled the top B2B sales, marketing, and growth insights from my podcast + LinkedIn - so you can scale smarter without the noise.

💭 My Take of the Week

Despite hosting the Claude Code challenge (and being pro-AI), I still maintain that we are in a massive AI hype cycle overall, and especially in GTM (Go-to-market).

It's important to recognize that although AI has great potential, it is still in its infancy. There are many edge cases that AI can't handle or is poorly suited to handle.

First, there is the belief that AI will solve all problems, when it cannot. A part of this confusion stems from not knowing how AI works. The key distinction here is that AI is probabilistic rather than deterministic. This matters deeply because probabilistic systems like AI make mistakes. We’ve all experienced it…over and over again.

When you need extremely close attention to detail - perfection - (as is the case with AI-written copy, sales process management, and outbound GTM campaigns), the full use of AI without supervision and oversight invites problems (incorrect copy, sending messages to people who have already gotten them, overwriting large parts of your CRM with incorrect data, etc.). The impact is simple…lost revenue, killed deals, and lost market share.

This is a major reason I still invest so heavily in building Revyops.com. It is a deterministic data layer for both Claude code and GTM in general, showing that even in a world of AI, there is still a need for a deterministic layer. That is, AI needs a professional-grade tool to build lists, store data, run analysis, among other things. Simply put, the AI needs software that won’t make mistakes and that it can use for the “high attention to detail stuff.”

And no, you should not have AI create this software.

The problem I see in the market is that everyone is trying to use Claude code to build their own applications rather than using it as an agentic layer to orchestrate pre-existing production-level software. That subtle difference is the big difference. People think to themselves, “I'm going to go rebuild HubSpot or Calendly,” without realizing how big an undertaking this truly is.

The better, wiser option is to purchase HubSpot and Calendly and use AI on top of it to automate some of their workflows. Certainly, you can use AI to build designer websites and small applications to help with lead bait, among other things. I do this each week. Yet, anybody who's currently claiming they can vibe code a replacement for Clay or HubSpot over the weekend is fooling you and fooling themselves.

Stay safe out there, avoid the hype, and let’s “Keep it real.”

How Words Drive $117K/Month

How we write cold emails that generate $117k/month. We do not guess, and we do not rely on opinions. We test. At RevyOps, we launch dozens of email versions at the same time and let real data tell us what actually works. Then we scale only the winners.

The Revenue Build Trap

"We'll just set up a few dashboards. Maybe connect our CRM to a data warehouse. How hard could it be?" (famous last words). After nearly a year building RevyOps, here's what I learned the hard way:

90% Of Cold Emails Fail Here

Every "Can I get 15 minutes?" is you asking for something. Their time. Their attention. Their calendar. You're taking from word one, and that's why you're stuck at 2% no matter how dialed your targeting is.
